This 5th of June, we marked five successful years of creating an impact by sharing the same vision at Leaf Complex Care Bristol. We were beyond thrilled to get together in our new office space to celebrate the mutual success of each one of us.

We had the opportunity to hear the inspiring stories of our leaders, who had been our loyal teammates since the very beginning of Leaf Complex Care. Together with our mindful and visionary CEO, Trevor Mapondera, they shared words of wisdom, motivation, and sincere dedication to creating a humanised and intentional impact in health and social care.

‘We are here celebrating five years of making an impact. I want to thank each one of you for believing in this vision, and here we can see what happens when one team believes in the vision that we can improve other people’s lives.’

–       Trevor Mapondera, CEO of Catalyst Care Group

It’s been half a decade since we joined our knowledge, skills and expertise to support and care for people with complex and additional needs. During our journey, we have been committed to building a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and teaming for everyone in the Family.

Great Things Start with Humble Steps

We all have dreams aspirations. Ours were to bring humanity back to health and social care.

‘Initially, we started with two clients who are still with us. While it hasn’t always been easy, we realised that there are so many people that need our support. In the last five years, we helped over a hundred families, and that is fantastic!’

Tracey Prewett, Family and Relationships Manager for Leaf Complex Care, Bristol

We genuinely believed there were many people out there who needed our specialist support to live happy and meaningful life in their homes and communities. In time, we had the incredible privilege of working as a team with over 100 clinicians, supporting over 90 families, and expanding our services to four different locations.

Humanising Health Through Best-Led Practices

Throughout the years, we have implemented innovative strategies and practices to continuously improve our services for the people we support. Every day is a reflection of what we have done and what else we can do to empower people to excel in their roles, bringing a human touch to every person and family we support.

Our anniversary was the perfect occasion to highlight and celebrate our milestones and achievements we accomplished during these five years.

  • We provided high-quality care and support, empowering people to live as independently as possible within their homes and communities. ⠀
  • We achieved a “Good”rating from the Care Quality Commission for our tailored services.
  • We provided multi-faceted training to our support workers, fostering their expertise and passion for providing person-centred and humanised support to every individual we serve.
  • We expanded our working space into a brand-new office in Bristol. ⠀
  • Our team has evolved into one big, people-centric family with a unified mission: to support people towards their journey to a healthier, happier and more rewarding life.

As healthcare professionals, we have always strived for consistency in providing high-quality and person-centred care to people who need it the most. Regardless of the role within the team, providing peace of mind and meeting the needs of the families we support has always been our priority.

Navigating change through continuous improvement is our mindset, the solid foundation of our culture, values and mission.

The Life-Changing Impact of Our Person-Centred and Humanised Approach

This occasion became more impactful by releasing our new documentary about Jacob, one of our first clients who is still with us. Jacob’s story imprinted moments of love, compassion and humanity at our fifth anniversary, highlighting the positive outcome of our support worker’s care, commitment, and person-centred approach.

Please take a moment to watch this remarkable young boy’s inspiring and heartwarming story.

Seeing Jacob’s smile and his family’s peace of mind makes us stand bright and proud to be part of Leaf Complex Care. Witnessing the positive impact of our support workers’ humanised and holistic care, we are inspired to continue working to become the best versions of ourselves.
